Grand finale at Claybrooke rounds off another memorable year for Lutterworth Choral
Welcome to the website of Lutterworth & District Choral Society (informally Lutterworth Choral). The Choir closed the season with an uplifting and varied programme of music in our Summer Concert at the idyllic St. Peter’s Church, Claybrooke Parva. Ably led by MD Philip Millward, we were again, supported by Sam Giles’s fantastic string quartet; featuring Sam Goldsworthy, Cathie Ng and Natasha Pattinson. Video clips are available for members to view on our Members Area. We had a successful AGM on September 7th and rehearsals at Lutterworth Methodist Church are now well under way for our Christmas Concert on December 5th (see below for details).
25 Choir members and LDCS accompanist Sam Giles played an active musical role in the funeral of much-loved former Choir member Alan Stephens at St. Peter’s Church, Leire on October 2nd. We thank all those involved in giving Alan such a fitting send-off.
We are always looking to recruit new singers. Please get in touch if you wish to join us in our rehearsals for some free taster sessions.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO REHEARSAL ON MONDAY OCTOBER 19TH DUE TO HALF TERM BREAK. SINGING RESUMES ON OCTOBER 26TH.
“Our aim is to bring vibrant choral music
to the people of south Leicestershire”
