The best way to sun up my time with LDCS is – joyous! The choir are such a lovely, welcoming group of singers and I very much enjoyed my time as Musical Director with them. They are an absolute pleasure to conduct and I will miss my Monday nights with such a friendly, warm group of singers. They were very receptive to my challenging them with new and exciting repertoire and we enjoyed performing 15 fabulous concerts together. Some highlights include: Bob Chilcott A Little Jazz Mass, Howard Goodall Eternal Light Requiem, George Shearing Songs and Sonnets, works by Ola Gjeilo, Dan Forrest and Morten Lauridsen plus well known classics such as Fauré Requiem, The Armed Man Choral Suite, Haydn Little Organ Mass and culminating in a spectacular joint concert of Verdi Requiem with Leicester Philharmonic Choir and Market Harborough Choral Society.

It was a pleasure to help LDCS get ‘back to normal’ after Covid and I know the choir will continue to go from strength to strength under the direction of their new MD, I am proud to hand the baton over! Thank you for having me for the last four and half years!
